James Bailley `Squirrel Eye` Neblett, Sr., 67, Cumberland Furnace, died Saturday, December 13, 2008, at Alive Hospice, Nashville. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial will be in Rye's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born July 24, 1941 in Montgomery County, TN, son of Bennie and Ora Perry Neblett. Mr. Neblett was employed with the Dickson Co. Highway Department and was a member of Slayden Church of God of Prophecy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Teresa Evans, his son Ricky Neblett, granddaughter Amber Neblett, and a sister, Sarah Baggett. He is survived by children James B. "Bo" (Shawnette) Neblett, Jr. of Cumberland Furnace, Tina (Bob) Granado of Dover, Lawrence (Crystal) Neblett of Cunningham, and Timmy (Susan) Neblett of Cunningham; his former wife, Martha Neblett of Cunningham; brothers and sisters Hazel (Walter) Eads, Emma (Tom) Brown, Clarence (Jan) Neblett, Harold Dean Neblett, John David Neblett, Charlie (Sarah) Neblett, and Donald (Rita) Neblett. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Mr. Neblett's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
