James Martin, Sr.

James Edward (Jim) Martin, Sr., 54, Clarksville, died Friday, November 27, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Dock H. Leem officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with full military honors. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born July 4, 1955 in Cayce, South Carolina, son of Louis Russell Martin and Arvel Stronaman Martin. Mr. Martin was retired Staff Seargant with the U.S. Army and a veteran of Desert Storm, currently employed with the Letica Corp., was a member of First Baptist Church, and formerly was active in the Boy Scouts of America. Survivors include his wife Un A Chin Martin of Clarksville, son James E. (Joy) Martin of Fairbanks, AK, daughter Christine (Daniel) Chong of Lacey, WA, brother Louis Russell (Patricia) Martin, Jr., and grandchildren James E. Martin III, Jillian M. Martin, Julianna M. Martin, and Noah H. Chong.
