James Alfred Marshall, age 74 of Clarksville, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at his residence.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2014 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Revs. Louie Montoya, Daniel Ramsey, and Dennis Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with Full Military Honors.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday at the funeral home.
James was born on April 30, 1940, the son of, Hallie Edgar Marshall and Una Victoria Wright Marshall. He was a graduate of Austin Peay State University, a retired SFC from U.S. Army, and a Vietnam Veteran. He later retired from the Montgomery County School System. He was a member of the First Assembly Church of God and was a Royal Ranger Leader at First Assembly of God for over 16 years.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Doug, Howard, Beldon, and Warren; sisters, Virginia, Colleen, Irene, and Alice.
James is survived by his wife, Nessie Ann Marshall; son, Stefan Marshall and wife Angie; brothers, Don Marshall and Denver Marshall; grandchildren, Stefan Andru Marshall and Anndrea Aleaa Marshall.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Rayle, Hilary Lewis, Steve Devers, Larry Rye, Darnell Brooks, Ken Adcock, and Mike Moskalyk.
