James Mackens

James Niles Mackens, age 86, of Clarksville, TN went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 14, 2023.
Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Sister Londa Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Baggett’s Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
James entered this life on May 20, 1936, in Montgomery County, TN to the late Charlie and Susie Lewis Mackens. He was a member of The Church of God of Prophecy where he served as Bishop. Mr. Mackens was also the owner and operator of Mackens Upholstery for over 50 years.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Kathleen Mackens; son, Gary Mackens; daughter in law, Misty Mackens, and grandson, James David Mackens, Jr.
Survivors include his sons, David (Donna) Mackens, Ricky Mackens, and Kenny Mackens, daughter-in-law, Theresa Mackens; nine grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Mackens, Jesse Heath, Chase Heath, Jack Grace, Ronnie Denton, Ricky Denton, and Mark Owen.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Rose, Thomas Shock, Hubert Sykes, Leonard Sykes, Andy Hughes, and John Stanley.
