James "JJ" Hanson

James Hanson, affectionately known as “JJ” age 50 of Clarksville, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022.
Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2022 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.
JJ entered this life on March 30, 1972 in Fairfield, California to the late James Hanson and Inge Gieb Leighty. He was a 1992 graduate of Northeast High School and was involved with the special needs community in both Clarksville and Nashville for over twenty years. JJ enjoyed watching the news and weather and participating in the Special Olympics. He was fun to be around and was constantly playing jokes on everyone. He enjoyed playing games, his Legos..but most of all, his 80’s music. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his nephew, James Dale Higbee.
Survivors include his parents, Inge and Jacob Leighty; sisters, Victoria Taylor and Maria (Troy) Spink; nieces and nephews, Trevor (Maisey) Hanson, Nichol (William) Bates, Matthew (Nicolee) Hanson, Inge (Anthony) Nelson, and Jasmine Gallagher.
