James Howell

James Wesley Howell, age 80, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. James Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends 4 to 7 p.m. Friday with a Masonic Service following and again from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

James entered life on July 4, 1940 in Double Springs, Alabama, son of the late John and Louise Howell. James was a retired Teamster with Yellow Freight System. James also worked and played many years at the TN Golf Course post-retirement. He was also a Mason, Queen City Lodge, and Past Master of Lodge 761 of Brandon, MS.
James loved God, Family, and Country. He was a US Army Veteran. He was also an avid Alabama football fan. James was an active member of Hilldale Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Linda Sue Howell; daughter Rhonda Shephard (Johnny); granddaughters, Laura Beth Corrigan (Ryan), Alanea McGrew (Andrue); great grandsons, Jackson and James McGrew; and brother-in-law, Robert Darden.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hilldale Baptist Church, F.U.E.L. program, 2001 Madison St., Clarksville, TN 37043.
