James Franklin Meek, 79, Clarksville, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012 in Stewart County, Tennessee.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Kathy Fox officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
James was born May 22, 1933 in Montgomery County, son of Robert Dean and Lottie Dawson Meek. He was a farmer and a member and elder of Macedonia Presbyterian Church.
James leaves behind to cherish him in memory, his wife, Betty Black Meek of Clarksville; his son James Meek and wife Pam of Adams; grandchildren, Jacob and Christian Meek; and his brothers, Herman Meek of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Edwin Meek and Glenn Meek, both of Clarksville.
Pallbearers will be Bill Black, Wade Smith, Greg Meek, Bobby Meek, Tommy Meek, David Meek, Danny Meek, Larry Meek, and Alan Meek.
