James Brooks Jr.

James Vernon (Jimmy) Brooks Jr. of Erin, TN. passed away Wednesday July 17, 2013 at his residence. He was born July 14, 1946 in Detroit, MI. son of the late Vernon Brooks and Louise Sine Brooks. He was married to Barbara Jean Largent Brooks on December 31, 1966. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Teresa Lynn Brooks and Brother Lloyd Brooks. Mr. Brooks was a member of Griffins Chapel Church. Retired Boilermaker Local 455 and a member of Wisdom Lodge #300. A celebration of his life will be 11am Saturday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Beverly Dycus officiating. Visitation will be from 2:30pm until 8pm Friday and from 8am until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery with military honors. He was survived by his wife, Barbara, and children Jeff Brooks (Casey) and Charlotte Brooks Mobley (Jason) both of Erin; Brother Larry Brooks, Sisters Carol Blackwell and Barbara Sykes, all of Tennessee Ridge. Pallbearers will be Barry Brooks, Jason Dew, Cary Largent, Rhyne Largent, Andrew Cooper, Tom Sawyer, James Thomas, Doug Story, Terry Lewis, R.D. Pate, and Darrell Parker
