James Bridges

James “Jim” Edward Bridges, age 76, of Stewart, TN, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023 in Nashville, TN, while surrounded by his family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2023 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Daniel Medders officiating. Interment will follow at Summers Cemetery with full Military Honors.
Family will receive friends on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Sunday afternoon.
Jim entered this life on March 2, 1947, in Stewart, TN, son to Luther Carl Bridges and Ann “Sissy” Webb Bridges. James worked many jobs throughout his life, including factory and construction. James was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he faithfully served in the Vietnam era; and was an active member of the local American Legion before his health made him more home bound.
In addition to his father, Jim was preceded in death by his dear wife, Mrs. Mary Frances Tidwell; as well as his brother, Robert Bridges.
In addition to his mother, Jim leaves behind three sons, James Kelley Bridges (Melissa), Lynn Bridges (Jill), Robert Bridges (Scherie); as well as his siblings, Bill Bridges, and sister Robbie Higgins. James also leaves behind his precious grandchildren, Kristoffer Bridges (Jessie), Chelsea Bridges, Thomas Hayes (Sydney), Jaxon Bridges, Taylor Scarborough, Christian Wren; as well as great-granddaughter, Kaylen Bridges, as well as many beloved aunts and uncles as well as dear nieces and nephews.
