James Balot

James David `J.D.` Balot, 54, Woodlawn, died Monday, December 27, 2010, at Skyline Medical Center, Nashville. The funeral will be held at a later date at Krowicki-MacCraken Funeral Home. Burial will be in BG William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Writestown, NJ. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Thursday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born April 4, 1956 in Newark, NJ son of Quentin D. and Betty Sackmann Balot. Mr. Balot was a 26 year veteran of the U.S. Military serving in the Tennessee National Guard in Afghanistan and belonged to the 11th Special Forces GP and First Ranger Battalion. Other than his parents, of Elizabeth, NJ, he is survived by his brother, Quentin Balot Jr., Woodlawn, TN; sisters, Diana M. Frank, Allentown, PA, Cynthia M. Balot, Flagstaff, AZ, and Selene M. Rivera, Bloomfield, NJ.
