Jaime Austin Pickett, age 38, of Clarksville, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013 in Peru due to injuries resulting from a helicopter crash.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
The family will receive friends 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, and 9 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.
Jaime was born November 19, 1974 in Rochester, MI to Charles Amos and Shaun Judith Marshall Pickett. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a well respected soldier and accomplished helicopter mechanic. Most recently, Jaime was employed with Columbia Helicopters, where he was utilized for his expertise in helicopter maintenance and repair. Jaime was also well respected in the reptile community for his breeding knowledge, care, and extensive collection of snakes and other reptiles.
Survivors include his loving wife, Arlinda Ergen Pickett of Clarksville, children, Shalinda, Tracy, and Dalton Pickett, all of Clarksville, siblings, Tracy Pickett Sherman of Whitelake, MI, Chad Pickett of Alpena, MI, Shawn "Andy" (Michael) Pickett of Evansville, IN, and Larry Hornsby, Jr. (Linda) of MI, and a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends.
