Jackie Ray Cooper, age 80, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Tennova Healthcare.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2020, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Jackie entered into this life on May 28, 1940 in Lafollette, TN. He retired from the United States Army after twenty-one years and was a Vietnam Veteran. In Jack’s free time he enjoyed watching old western movies, listening to country music, especially Elvis Presley, and traveling.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Cooper.
Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Dorothy Gilley Cooper; daughter, Kimberly and her husband, James Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Emmaline and Gabriel Fitzgerald; brothers, Jerry Cooper, John Landrum; special friends, Dick and Barbara Lagamiere, John Holt.
