Jack Webb

Byron Jack Webb, age 89, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025.

Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 21, 2025 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Pat VanDyke officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Jack entered this life on December 31, 1935 in Clay County, AR to the late Vaughn Webb and Wayma Maddux Webb. He earned his undergraduate and master’s degree from Memphis State and went on to pursue his PhD at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Jack dedicated his professional life to serving the students of Austin Peay State University, where he was a dedicated Professor of Geography. Outside of his career, Jack was a member of First Baptist Church, where he enjoyed fellowship and worship. After his retirement, Jack became an avid golfer, and could often be found with his friends at both Sawn Lake and Mason Rudolph golf courses.

Survivors include his wife of over 70 years, Katherine Webb; children, Mark (Merry) Webb, Steve (Dianne) Webb, and John (Lara) Webb; grandchildren, Daniel (Ashley) Webb, Ellen (Michael) Emrick, Hunter (Sara) Wehlage, James Webb, Tommy Webb, and Andrew Webb; great-grandchildren, Jack, Jameson, Jacob, and Dylan; sister, Brenda Geise.
