Jack A. Underwood, aged 90, passed away in Clarksville TN on October 15th 2022 from natural causes. Jack was born to Otis and Sarah Underwood( maiden name Crisel) in East St. Louis on April 29th 1932. Jack was a hard worker his entire life and strived for greatness in everything he did. After starting in the grocery business and working his way up to the executive level of the industry, Jack went on to own his own grocery and dry cleaning business and worked as an executive salesman for Alexander Manufacturing in St. Louis. Jack's greatest accomplishments however did not come from his career. Jack had a tremendous amount of love for his family. In his free time he enjoyed writing poetry for his loved ones and exploring genealogy. He enjoyed sharing the history of his family with others and that love of exploration and sharing led Jack to become a founding member of the Arnold Missouri Historical society. Jack held this as one of his proudest accomplishments second only to his marriage to his beloved wife Jackie in 1966 and the raising of their children. Nothing brought Jack more joy than watching his family grow and thrive alongside the love of his life. Jackie passed away in 2021 and while Jack enjoyed his time with family after her passing, Jack knew they would be reunited in heaven and had no fear of death. Jack is survived by one sister, 4 children, 3 step children, 22 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Jack's memory will be carried on by the family he so greatly cherished and he will be deeply missed. Condolences may be made online at Navefuneralhomes.com
