John Augustus "Jack" Sullivan, Sr., age 79, of Clarksville, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Tennova Health Care.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Faith Outreach Church North, 1235 Northfield Drive, Clarksville. The Rev. David Wesner is officiating. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
The Sullivan family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and 10 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday at Faith Outreach Church North.
John entered into this life on December 1, 1937 in Philadelphia, PA, son of Edward William and Elizabeth Spathe Sullivan. He was retired from a career with the U.S. Army and bravely served his country in Vietnam. Following his service to country, John went to work for the State of Tennessee and again retired from his second career as a Corrections Officer. He was a member of the VFW and the USO, and also fellowshipped with Faith Outreach Church North.
Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Georgina Vidal Sullivan; son, Johnny Sullivan; daughters, Noreen Shorey (Morgan) and Katie Dolwick (Dan); and nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
