Irene Smith Norfleet, age 101 of Clarksville passed away March 25, 2014 in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, and 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
She was a member of Salem United Methodist. She was born on August 12, 1912 in Stewart County, TN. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Beuna Gillium Smith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Reuben Norfleet; 3 grandsons, 1 great-grandson, and 3 brothers.
Survivors include Daughter, Gail Norfleet Thweatt; Sons Donald Hugh Norfleet (Joyce) of Clarksville, and Reuben (Margo) Gene Norfleet, Wauchula, FL; Sister, Frances Smith Byrd; 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family members.
In lieu of other memorials, donations may be made to Salem United Methodist Church or Hillcrest Baptist Church.
