Inez Cherry

Inez Steeley Cherry, 61, Clarksville, died Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at her residence. The funeral will be held at 12 noon Monday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Robert Spurgeon officiating. Burial will be in Smith-Austin Cemetery, Stewart County, Tn. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at at the funeral home. She was born January 18, 1948 in Montgomery County, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Katie Mae Harris Steeley. Mrs. Cherry was retired from Trane Company and owner of A&H Transmissions. She was a member of Kirkwood Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Alton A. Cherry, Clarksville; son, Chris (Tammy) Cherry, Clarksville; daughter, Cathy (Rick) Bentley, Clarksville; brothers, Jimmy Steeley, Guthrie, Tommy Steeley, Clarksville, Gene Steeley, Guthrie, Terry Steeley, Lancaster, SC; sisters, Altimae Taylor, Guthrie, Sarah Hughes, Adams, Peggy Rodgers, Great Falls, SC, Evelyn Holt, Bumpus Mills, Marianne Woodford, Indianapolis, IND; grandchildren, Ashley Cherry, Brittney Cherry, Courtney Bentley and Heather Bentley. Friends and Family will serve as pallbearers.
