Inez Brake

Inez Brake, age 90 of Erin, TN, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016 at Signature Healthcare of Erin.
A celebration of her life will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2016 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Rev. Beverly Dycus, Rev. Denise Settle, and Bro. Garrette Milliken officiating. Burial will follow in McIntosh Cemetery.
The Brake family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service Friday afternoon.
Inez entered this life on September 9, 1925 in Stewart County, TN, daughter of the late Clyde and Irene Riding Sykes. Inez was a lifelong member of Tennessee Ridge United Methodist Church; secretary for the Houston County Highway Department; and served many years as the Erin Housing Authority Administrator.
In addition to her parents, Inez was preceded in death by her late husband, James Orman Brake, and grandson, Chris Nichols.
Survivors include daughters, Rebecca Averitt (Phil), Deborah Schaus (Kenneth); son, Landon Brake (Jane); five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brad Averitt, Randy Meyer, Dewayne Osborne, Josh Covell, Zack Paton, Brett Nichols, Brian Nichols, Robert Nichols, and Tim Jurisin.
