Hubert Thomas Walker

   Hubert Thomas Walker, age 86 of Stewart, TN, passed away Monday, March 25, 2024 in Nashville, TN. 

   Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Cedar Valley Cemetery with Pastor Randy Roper officiating.

   The Walker family will receive friends on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.     

   Hubert entered this life on April 10, 1937, in Houston County, TN, son to the late Ruby Boone Walker and Rena Mae Stavely Walker. Hubert retired after a fruitful career with the United States Postal Service where he worked as a letter carrier. He was a member of Campground Cumberland Presbyterian Church, loved to fish, farming, gardening, and working with his woodworks. However, his true passion was taking care of his family, including his wonderful cooking. He will be greatly missed. 

   In addition to his parents, Hubert was preceded in death by his children, Susan Walker Hughes, Chris Puckett; and brother, Frank Walker.    

   Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Nell Walker; children, Bryan (Sydney) Walker, Larry (Jan) Walker, Gary (Barbara) Walker, Wanda (Jerry) Matheny, Scottie Bartholomew, Sherry (Ralph) Lachney, Kirk (Stephanie Fisher) Bartholomew, Mitchell (Marian) Puckett, Kelly Puskas; sister, Geraldine Hamilton. Hubert also leaves behind his precious grandchildren, Kristen Law, Amanda Long, Kellen Walker, Graham Walker, Paige Mills, Clayton Walker, Caitlyn Walker, Brooke Borchers, Abigail Walker, Jonathan Walker, Kelly Taylor, T.J. Newman, Shannon Wood, Matthew Matheny, Caleb Puckett, Katie Rickman, Ashley Webb, Taylor Lachney, Jeffery Moore J.R., Alex Puskas, Hannah Puskas, Brodie Cole, Will Puckett; great-grandchildren, Carter Mills, Mabry Walker, Walker Mills, Lucy Paseur, Regan Law, Matthew Long, Enan Long, and Jace Long.
