Hubert Sykes

Hubert Sykes, age 83, of Southside, TN passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025.

He will be laid to rest at Bob Yarbrough Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 with Rev. David Mackens officiating.

Hubert entered this life on August 17, 1941 in Montgomery County, TN to the late Ramey and Lizzie Jackson Sykes. He was retired from the Montgomery Highway Department and enjoyed farming. In his younger years, he enjoyed being outdoors and coon hunting.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Mildred Wright and Anna Johnson.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Eva Wall Sykes; sons, Billy Sykes (Tammy) and Paul Sykes; brother, Leonard Sykes; grandchildren, Braden Sykes, Tony Landrum, Jr., and Shenna Blackwell (Mark), and two great-grandchildren. Hubert also leaves behind his sister-in-law, Evie Henry.
