Hubert John Pezzi Jr., age 88 of Stewart, TN, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021 at his residence.
Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2021 at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church with Father Zachaeus Kirangu officiating. Full military honors will follow Funeral Mass. Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church Cemetery.
The Pezzi family will receive friends at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Funeral Mass Friday morning at the church.
Hugh entered this life on September 21, 1932 in Campbellsport, WI, son to the late Hubert and Albertina Pezzi. Hugh was a faithful member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and a life member of the fraternal order of Knights of Columbus. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War Conflict and would later retire with 26 years of service with the United States Air Force. After his military retirement, Hugh moved to Middle Tennessee and became employed with TVA as an instrument mechanic. Following his TVA retirement, he went onto to teach industrial maintenance in vocational schools in Clarksville, Dickson and Nashville. Hugh was a lifelong NRA member who loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and trap and skeet shooting. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Hubert was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Jean Pezzi and sisters, Natalie Pezzi and MaryAnn Pezzi.
Survivors include his loving children, Shan Maree (Donald Szymanski) McEvoy, MaryAnn Margaret (Kenneth) Rohm, Mark David Pezzi, Jan Elizabeth (Larry) Walker, Anthony John (Lori) Pezzi, and sister, Jean Ellen Pinder. Hugh also leaves behind fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Following Mass Friday morning, a reception for family and friends will be held in the St Elizabeth Ann Seton Church Fellowship Hall.
