Horace Bracey

Horace Bracey, age 54, of Clarksville passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Tennova Healthcare.

Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2020 at God’s Sanctuary Church International. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.


The family will receive friends Friday, November 13, 2020, from 3 to 6 p.m. at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and again on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.

Horace entered this life on June 6, 1966 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Houston and Magnolia Hagler Bracey. He was an Associate Pastor at God’s Sanctuary Church International. Horace enjoyed fishing, hunting, metal detecting, and being in nature.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Andrew Hagler, Sharlene Hagler, Carlos Hagler, Houston Gilmore, and Harris Gilmore.

Survivors include his loving and dedicated wife of 18 years, Charnitric Lavon Cooper Bracey; children, Ja’Quanda (Demetrice) Manning, Alexis Thomas, Emmanuel Bracey, Gabriel Bracey, and Magnolia Bracey; grandchildren, Ja’Mya Manning and Janaya Manning; siblings, Heath (Sonya) Gilmore, Sr., Curtis Hagler, Hosea Gilmore, and Darlene (Chris) Corbitt, and sisters-in-law, Tiffinea (Reginald) Johnson, Carolyn (Willie, Jr.) Simpson, Sonya Cooper, and Tranquessa (Curtis) Taylor.
