Homer Harrell, 94, Cunningham, died Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 12 Noon Friday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial will be in Rye's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Homer was born August 12, 1915 in Montgomery County and was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Lady Christy Harrell; wife, Kitty Frances Reynold Harrell; and his son, Homer Dale Harrell, brother Jimmy Harrell, sisters, Louise Devers, Martha Proctor, Mabel Groves, Nannie Wall and Darthula Groves. Homer was a retired Mechanic for TVA. Survivors include his daughters, Betty Pitts, Jane (Mel) Ogle; step-sons, Buford(Virginia) Hollis, Charles (Barbara) Hollis, Bobby (Sandra) Hollis; sisters, Mary Atkins, Marie Mayfield; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Greg Hollis, Keith Hollis, Layton Ham, Charles Farmer, Christopher Farmer, Billy Hollis, Ernest Epps and Kevin Davis.
