Hilda Mae Willey, age 90 of Erin, TN, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Houston County Community Hospital.
A celebration of her life will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Buchanan Cemetery.
The Willey family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and from 8:00 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday morning.
Hilda entered this life on February 23, 1926 in Humphreys County, TN, daughter to the late Mitchell and Ila Buchanan Cathey. Hilda was a member of the Erin Baptist Church, and had a passion for gardening and cooking.
In addition to her parents, Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, Ladein Willey; eight brothers, and one sister.
Survivors include two daughters, Cathy Averitt (Jeff), Brenda Jenkins; three grandchildren, Jack Jenkins Jr, Cathryn Smith, Christina Young, and five great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Smith, Sidney Cathey, Jack Jenkins Jr, Larry Cathey, Bob Pollard, Steve Lannom, and Richard Cathey.
