Hilary Nay "Mac" McAulay

Hilary Nay “Mac” McAulay, age 72, of Clarksville, TN, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024. Born on October 10, 1952, in Erin, TN, Mac was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose love for his family was matched only by his passion for life.

Mac shared a loving marriage of 53 years with his wife, Gail Ann Scarborough McAulay. He is survived by his children, Monica (Larry) Hicks; Amy (Stephen) Dreese, and Rachel (Charlie) Partain. He took immense pride in being a grandfather to six grandchildren and a great-grandfather to six great-grandchildren, who brought him endless joy.

He is also survived by his sisters, Penny (Gary) Shearon, and Jennifer (Randy) Suiter. Mac was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Ray McAulay, Jr. and Mildred Lenore Griffin McAulay, as well as his brothers, Tracy McAulay and Larry McAulay.

Mac was passionate about family road trips and was a devoted fan of the Atlanta Braves. He cherished every moment spent with his family, sharing laughter, stories, and unforgettable memories.

A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor at the Park Lane Church of the Nazarene softball field, at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service, at the softball field.

If you’re unable to stand for long periods of time, please feel free to bring a lawn chair for the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Park Lane Church of the Nazarene to aid in the relief efforts in eastern Tennessee after Hurricane Helene.

Mac will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit and love will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
