Herman Glenn Street, age 82, of Clarksville, passed away Monday, July 29, 2013 at Signature Health Care of Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Kail officiating. Burial will follow in the Harrison Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Herman entered this life on May 19, 1931 in Stewart County, son of the late Herman Brandon Street and Louella Atkins Street. In his early years Herman served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He went on to retire as a brick mason and from the Baptist ministry. He loved his Lord and received great joy in spreading God's word. Herman was a member of the church family at Alva Baptist Church.
He has gone to be reunited with his beloved wife, Bonnie Harrison Street; precious daughter, Brenda Lynn Street; and brothers, Woodrow, Ed, Wiley, Jackie, and Bobby Street and sisters, Lorene Hodges, Euree Redish, and Florence Darnell. Survivors include his children, Tony Street and wife Millicent of Joelton, Sheila Street of Clarksville, Connie Street of Clarksville, and Melissa Burney and husband Dwight of Clarksville; grandchildren, Amanda Mosier and husband Billy, Shey Perry, Charrelle Burney, D.J. Burney, Trey Burney, and Jadyn Burney; and great grandchildren, Kynzee Mosier and Kaelin Williams.
Pallbearers will be Roger Street, Jeff Triolo, Jim Armstrong, Johnny Harp, Jeff Street, and Jeremie Wickham.
