Herman Samuel Meek, age 87, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. with a Prayer Service to follow at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 16, 2017. The Rev. Rocky Johnson will officiate. Herman will be laid to rest with military honors at Greenwood Cemetery.
Herman was born on May 18, 1930 in Clarksville, Tennessee to the late Robert Daniel Meek and Lottie Dawson Meek. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Survivors include his children, Danny Joe Meek, Larry Meek, Alan Meek, Mary D. Travis (David), and Carol Gaines (Joe); grandchildren, Brian Travis, Jacob Travis, Joshua Travis, and Lucas Gaines; great grandchild, Deytin Travis; and brothers, Glenn and Edwin Meek. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Franklin Meek.
