Herman Kirkland

Herman Kirkland, 88, Clarksville, died Sunday, September 23, 2007, at his residence. Graveside services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Keesee Cemetery. The remains are to be cremated. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Kirkland was born July 19, 1919 in Stewart County the son of Guy and Ollie Mohon Kirland. He was preceded in death by two grand daughters, Carria and Bobbie Jo Kirkland. He was a WWII veteran,recipient of the Purple Heart, serving in the U. S. Army and a member of the V.F.W. Post 4895. Mr. Kirkland is survived by a son, Bobby (Jan) Kirkland of Union City, TN and two daughters, Mary Lou Proctor and Patricia (Keith) Poole both of Clarksville. One sister, Maydell Clinard, Pensacola, FL. Seven grandchildren and thirteen great grand children. Several nieces and nephews.
