Henry Francis Meador, 78, Clarksville, went home to be with his Lord, died Thursday, May 8, 2008, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Olivet Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Williard McCarroll & Rev. Michael Oliver officiating. Burial will be in Sulpher Springs Cemetery in Franklin, KY. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of service Saturday at the church. He was born July 4, 1929 in Jefferson County, KY son of William Henry Meador and Rinnie Mae Roark Meador. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Marty, with whom he is now reunited in Heaven. Mr. Meador was a member of Olivet Freewill Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge #89 and was a retired jeweler having worked at Sites Jewelers and Sears. Frank worshiped the Lord with every day he was given and his love of his family was second only to his love for his Lord. He will forever be missed by those that knew him, but comfort is taken in the fact that he is now in Heaven with his Lord for eternity. He is survived by Louise Grainger Meador, his wife of 60 years, to whom he was devoted, his daughter Fran Meador, to whom he was a hero, and two granddaughters, Robin and Hayley Sloan, to who he was an inspiration. Though short in stature, to them he was a giant. The pallbearers include Frank's nephews, James O. Pierce, who was truly more of a brother, nephews Ron Dunn, Clint and Van Willis, Eric Sloan, and Bobby Langford. Honorary pallbearers include Preston Holt, Sandy Sandifer, Dolphus McCormack, and Stanley Baggett.
