Hella Lindsay, 83, of Clarksville, passed away, Tuesday February 6, 2018 at her residence. A celebration of her life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Dr. Felt Dent officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 2 p.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
Hella was born July 1, 1934 in Heilbronn, Germany to the late Karl and Rosina Martin Schwandner. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was an avid quilter, supporter of St. Jude’s, she loved her family, never met a stranger, and she would give you the last penny she had. Hella was preceded in death by her husband, who she loved very much, James Lindsay; brothers, Helmut and Kurt Schwandner; sisters, Lilo Manfried and Elfreide Merkle.
Left to cherish Hella’s memory are her daughters, Kathrine Joy and Darlene Lindsay; son, Edmund Schwandner (Harald Reinland); grandchildren, Jason Joy, Stephanie Joy, Kaleigh Lindsay, Cory Garner, and Austin Garner; great-grandchildren, Kevin Joy, Jonathan Joy, Kamryn Joy, and Blake Castillo; great-great-grandchildren, Hunter Joy and Carly Joy. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
