Helen Pauline Pumphrey, age 87 of Erin, TN, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Signature Healthcare of Erin.
A celebration of her life will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Fort Donelson Memorial United Methodist Church in Dover. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. Monday in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Clarksville, TN.
Her family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. with an Eastern Star service proceeding immediately after at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at the church on Sunday from 2:30 p.m. until the hour of service.
Helen entered this life on May 14, 1930 in Indianapolis, Indiana, daughter to the late Nolen Emery and Neely Louise Austin. Helen was a faithful member of Fort Donelson Memorial United Methodist Church, and was a member of Eastern Star 202 Clarksville. Helen also had a passion for quilting and crocheting.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Pumphrey; son, Morris Lee Cobb; grandson, Mark Cobb; siblings, Nola Francis Roso, Nolen “Bud” Austin, Rettia Waack, and Dewey “Wayne” Hogan.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Linda Priddy and her fiance Reggie Bland; loving son in law, Ben Priddy; sisters, Margaret Turner , and Alma Jean Rigdon. Helen also leaves behind grandchildren, Robert Lee Cobb (Yolanda), Jeffrey Morris Cobb, Mary Jeannelle “Jenny Marie” Moran (Melvin); great-grandchildren, Travis Lee Cobb (Hillary), Ashley Lynn Nicole Cobb, Felicia Dawn Phillips, Destiny Alyson Brooks, Mariassa Sharron-Elise Moran; great great-grandchildren, Lilly Cobb, James Cobb, Paisley Phillips, Reid Phillips; and Hallie Brooks.
Serving as pallbearers will be Austin Priddy, Dale Priddy, Dale Harris, Russell Allen, Jim Wolfe, and Tracy Todd.
Honorary pallbearers are Earnest Kirtley and Ben Priddy.
