Hazel Coleman

Hazel J. Coleman, age 95 formerly of Vanleer, TN, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023 in Garden City, MI.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2023 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Corbin officiating. Burial will follow in Coleman Tatum Cemetery.
The Coleman family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service Friday afternoon.
Hazel entered this life on September 15, 1927 in Latham, IL, daughter to the late Claude Henley and Blanche Seaton. Hazel was a faithful member of Stoney Point Freewill Baptist Church and after moving to Garden City, MI, she attended Garden City First Baptist Church. Hazel had a smile that would light up the room, and her kindness overflowed to everyone she came into contact with. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, George “Buck” Coleman; son, William Coleman; siblings, Ella Houston, Shirley Kirtley, and Carroll Henley.
Hazel leaves behind her loving daughter, Martha “Gale” Bowers; grandsons, William Coleman Jr, James Coleman; and five great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
