Hattie B. Sleigh, age 92, went to be with her Lord on Friday, September 20, 2013 at the home of her granddaughter in Woodlawn.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Woodlawn with the Revs. Jody Kilburn and James Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 12 noon until the hour of service Monday. All visitation will be held at the church.
Hattie was born on April 18, 1921 in Stewart County, daughter to the late Charlie and Neva Brumley. She was a loving and attentive mother and grandmother and a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Woodlawn. Hattie was preceded in death by her three sons, Phillip, Rudy and Tim Sleigh; brother, Oscar Brumley; and sisters, Blanche Braff and Myrtle Stanfill.
Left to cherish her memory are her granddaughters, Dana Tracy, Emily Albright and Leanna Sleigh, all of Woodlawn; grandson, Charles Sleigh, Woodlawn; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Alice Williams, Dover, TN, Elsie Wingham, Wisconsin Dells, WI and Lucile Hall of Clarksville, TN
Pallbearers will be Harold Tracy, Gerry Albright, Jason Willie, Charles Sleigh, Matthew Tracy, and Pat Tracy.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Woodlawn Building Fund, 2751 Woodlawn Rd., Woodlawn, TN 37191.
