Harvey Crawford Wolf, Jr., age 83, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 while at the Tennessee State Veterans Home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Forest St. United Methodist Church with Pastor Sonny Kim officiating. His family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the church. Harvey will be laid to rest at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 13th. Air Force Honors will be rendered.
Harvey entered into this life on July 12, 1934 in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, son of Harvey Crawford Wolf and Phemmie Jane Woodring Wolf. After graduating Tyrone High School in 1954, Harvey enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and proudly served 30 years of faithful service to his country. Prior to retirement, Harvey had attained the rank of Chief Master SGT and among his many achievements was the recipient of the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Service Medal (2 Clusters), the Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Device, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Air Force Commendation Medal with 2 Clusters. Also, he was a trombone player with the USAF Band, Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, DC and served as Conductor for the USAF Academy Band, Colorado Springs.
Survivors include his devoted wife of over 40 years, Boonroum Wolf; children, Randy A. Wolf (Theresa), Debra Shawley, and Mark B. Wolf (Julie); his sister, Jane Fink; two grandchildren and one great grandson.
