Lawrence Harry Ryan, age 89 of Clarksville, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, June 23, 2014 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Chambers officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until the hour of service on Monday at the funeral home.
Harry was born and raised in San Francisco, CA, the son of Lawrence Henry Ryan and Emma Irene Doherty. He was a World War II Army veteran who landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 28 years and was a member of Clarksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Ryan and daughter, Irene Jones.
He is survived by his son, Patrick (Starr) Ryan; son-in-law, Kenny Jones; grandchildren, Shannon (Carl) Renegar, Kyle (Allison) Jones, Kendyl (Brandon) Chambers; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Carl Rengar, Brandon Chambers, Wayne Oldham, Russell Adkins, John Adkins, and Don Jones.
