Harry Dies, Sr.

Harry Paul Dies, Sr., age 81 of Clarksville, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Clarksville Nursing and Rehabilitation.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Regina Hall officiating. Burial with Full Military Honors will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Harry was born September 18, 1931 in Davidson Co., TN, son of Jim and Mabel West Dies. Following a career and retirement from the U.S. Army, Harry worked for and retired from Club System Management at Fort Campbell. Harry was a Vietnam veteran and a Protestant.
In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Joyce Rhea Dies and his brothers, Jim D. Dies, Jr., Clayton Dies, Joe E. Dies and John C. Dies.
Survivors include his son, Harry Paul Dies, Jr. and his wife Jill of McDonough, GA; his daughter, Vicky Davis and her husband Steve of Clarksville; grandchildren, Jordan Davis O'Malley, Jessica Lynn Davis and Jenny Dies; great- grandson, Peyton Davis O'Malley; and his beloved pet, Ruby.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 5050 Pickering Rd., Clarksville, TN 37043.
