Harold Gordon

Harold Ernest Gordon, 81, of Clarksville, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Gordon was born July 13, 1930 in Concord, New Hampshire, son of the late Harold R. Gordon and Ellen Smith Gordon and step mother Violet Grace Gordon. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Philip Gordon, sister, Betty Williams, half brother, Robert Gordon, and step brothers, Roddy Wilkins and Richard Wilkins. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired with 34 years from the Clarksville Department of Electricity. He was a member of the Hilldale Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Betty Jean Williams Gordon, sons Robert (Bobby) Gordon of Greenville, TN and Todd D. Gordon of Springfield, TN, daughters, Linda E. (Kenny) Summers and Gloria G. (Eric) Snyder, both of Clarksville, step sister, Barbara Bluto of Concord, NH, nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Sunday, December 11, 2011 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Bros. Steve Kirby and Roy Goodmiller officiating. Burial will follow in Harvey Cemetery. Military honors will be rendered. Visitation will be at McReynolds-Nave & Larson from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday and from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of service on Sunday.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Clarksville Christian School, 505 Highway 76, Clarksville, TN 37043.
