Halford Block

Halford “Hal” Jerry Block, age 78, of Cumberland Furnace passed away Friday, March 16, at his residence. The funeral will be Tuesday, March 20th, at 1pm at McReynolds-Nave and Larson Funeral Home with Revs Greg Jones and Tim Ferrell officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Visitation will be Monday, March 19th, from 4-8pm and Tuesday, March 20th, from 11am until the time of service at McReynolds-Nave and Larson Funeral Home.
Mr. Block was born March 29, 1933 in Cincinnati, OH, the son of the late Clarence and Annabelle Randall Block. Hal retired from the US Army as a CW3 after serving honorably for almost 27 years. During his military career he served in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. After his retirement from the Army, Hal worked and retired from the Zinc Plant . He was also a member of Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder.
Survivors include his Wife; Linda Conley Block, Cumberland Furnace, Sons: Halford Block Jr. (Brenda), Clarksville, Roger Block (Debbie), Arizona, Anthony Block (Dawn), Cumberland Furnace, TN, Brother; Ronald Block (Jan), OH, Sister; Verna Tomlin, California, Grandchildren; Adam Block(Kelly), Trista McFarland(Sean), Derek Block(Heather), Christopher Block, Jordan Block(Kiah), Tony Block Jr., Great-grandchildren; Cameryn, Tyler, Tessa, and Brooklyn.
Military will serve as pallbearers. Grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
