Gwendolyn Minniehan, age 71 of Southside, passed away Monday, January 4, 2021 at Horizon Medical Center.
Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2021 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Bro. Glen Poston officiating. Burial will follow at Miller’s Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Sunday from 12 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Gwendolyn entered this life on October 24, 1949 in Montgomery County, TN to the late Lewis Sutton and Addie Murphy Sutton. She was a 1967 graduate of Montgomery Central High School and a member of Miller’s Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Gwendolyn was a Certified Professional Secretary and the Clerk of Western Quarterly of Freewill Baptist Churches. She was also employed with the State of Tennessee for numerous years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Minniehan, and siblings, Nellie (Malcolm) Owens, Lonnie (Pauline) Sutton, and Vera Sutton.
Survivors include her brother, Gilbert (Judy) Sutton; nieces and nephews, Rodonna (Stan) Leudenburg, William (Kristie) Sutton, Kim (Joey) Richards, Chris (Jo Anna) Sutton, Danielle (Chip) Renshaw, and Brian (Kathryn) Minniehan; brother-in-law, Joseph (Gayle) Minniehan. In addition to her loving family members, she is also survived by her fur babies.
Pallbearers will be Brian Minniehan, Chip Renshaw, Kevin Shaver, Timmy Swaw, Russell Black, and Chad Choate.
