Greg Taylor

James Gregory Taylor, age 63 of Clarksville departed this life to be with his Savior, Sunday, January 31, 2021.
A Celebration of Life will be held 12 noon Friday, February 5, 2021 at Mt. Caramel United Methodist Church with Rev. Nate Partee and Rev. Bobbie Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Sango Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m. at McReynolds-Nave& Larson Funeral Home and again on Friday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
Greg was born to Jo and the late Shelton Taylor in Fayetteville, TN on August 6, 1957. He was an excellent painter, enjoyed life, and making people smile. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Summers were always spent growing vegetables, which he loved to share with friends. Greg was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.
He is preceded in death by his father, Shelton Taylor; sister, Tracey Taylor, and stepson, Kyle Weatherford.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Taylor; son, Josh (Britney) Taylor, of Clarksville; step-daughters, Jessica (Justin) Humphrey, of South Berwick, Maine, and Katie (Matt) Norfleet, of Columbia, KY; grandchildren, Kailee, Keegan, Emery, Drennon, James and Joseph; brother, Kerry Taylor; sister, Jennifer (Randy) Ellis, and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Matt Norfleet, Jared Jarman, Ed Cook, Justin Humphrey, Corey Davis, Derrick Davis, Bud Wilson and John Morris.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church or East Montgomery Elementary School Library Fund, 230 McAdoo Creek, Clarksville, TN.
