Grace Sexton

Grace Taylor Sexton, age 83, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.

Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2024 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Tyler Tibbs officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Saturday from 12 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Grace entered this life on June 2, 1941, in Stewart County, TN to the late James and Lillian Brigham Taylor. Grace led a life marked by dedication to her faith, family, and career. She was a lifelong member of Woodlawn Church of the Nazarene. In her professional life, Grace made significant contributions during her long tenure as a computer analyst for Civil Service. She also held positions at Acme Boot and BF Goodrich. Through her various roles, she touched the lives of many, earning respect and affection from colleagues and friends alike. Above all, Grace was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was her pride and joy, and she poured her heart into nurturing her loved ones.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Henry Hall, Aaron Taylor, Eugene Taylor, Clark Taylor, Edwin Taylor, Monroe Taylor, Melvin Taylor, Dorothy Chadwick, Mary Killebrew, Robert Taylor, and Calvin Taylor.

Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, Hugh Sexton; daughter, Lori Stewart; son, Todd Taylor Sexton; grandchildren, Shannon Stewart, Brandon Stewart, and Paige Miller; great-grandchildren, Madison, Skylar, Ruby, and Hudson. Grace is also survived by her sister, Thelma Eldridge.

Arrangements are in the care of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, 1209 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
