Gloria Clark Dickson, age 86, of Clarksville, TN went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 24, 2024.
Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at First Baptist Church, Clarksville with Dr. Ronny Raines and Rev. Cal Hampton officiating.
Burial will follow at Marion United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and again on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
Gloria entered this life on February 3, 1938, in Stewart County, TN to the late Russell and Ruth Barnett Clark. She attended Austin Peay University and was a beloved member of First Baptist Church, Clarksville. Gloria was a woman of great faith and unwavering strength. She was the esteemed founder of the Clarksville/Ft. Campbell Christian Women's Club. Gloria's life was a testament to her deep-rooted faith and her commitment to serving others. Throughout her time on this earth, Gloria touched the lives of many with her compassionate spirit and selfless deeds. A mighty prayer warrior with a servant's heart, she dedicated herself to caring for those around her. Gloria's home was not just a place for her delightful home cooked meals, but also a hub for countless gatherings filled with love and warmth. One of Gloria's greatest gifts was her ability to care for others, especially the elderly. For 12 years, she devoted herself to looking after her mother and mother-in-law with unwavering love and tenderness until they peacefully passed on from this world. Her dedication and kindness towards them were a true reflection of her character. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and service that will continue to inspire generations to come.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Don (Ann) Clark and Ted Clark.
Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years, William Dwight Dickson, Sr.; children, Dwight Dickson, Jr. (Ginny), and Anita Powers (Eric); sister, Faye Miller (Eddie); sister in law Debby Clark: grandchildren, Jessica Ragan (Ray), Kyley Dickson (Courtney), Hannah Likens(Cody),Joshua Powers (Brooke), and Will Dickson (Miranda).Gloria also leaves behind nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Josh Powers, Cody Likens, Will Dickson, Kyley Dickson, Ray Ragan, Russ Clark, Marty Clark, Brent Clark, Dwayne Miller, and Bobby Russell.
