Glenn Roger Shoemaker, age 71, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Tennova Healthcare.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018 at First Christian Church located at 2200 Bland Road, Bluefield, WV with Rev. Doug McDaniel officiating.
The Shoemaker family will receive friends Saturday from 2 p.m. until the hour of service at the church.
Glenn entered into this life on January 2, 1947 in Ashland WV, son of the late James and Beulah Hodges Shoemaker. He was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church in Clarksville and a former member of Bramwell Wesleyan Church, WV.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Jean Goodwin Shoemaker; sons, Christopher (Dee) Shoemaker, and Brian Shoemaker; brothers, Calvin (Joan) Shoemaker, and Kelley Shoemaker, sister, Myrtle Dew; grandchildren, Andrew, Justin, Benjamin, Michelle, Nicholas, Samuel, and Abigail Shoemaker; great-grandchildren, Noah and Emma.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Glenn R. Shoemaker’s memory for Pancreatic Cancer Research Development c/o Vanderbilt University Medical Center 3322 West End Ave, Suite 900 Nashville, TN 37203.
