Glenn S. Gentry, 95, Clarksville, died Friday, March 1, 2013, at his residence. A private service will be held with Rev. SungNam Kim officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday March 3, for friends at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel. He was born December 26, 1917 in Cookeville, TN, and was the son of the late Solon and Norma Maddux Gentry.
Mr. Gentry was a retired from Austin Peay State University, where he was Dean of the School of Business and Dean of Admissions; he was also a member of Madison Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his sons, Stephen Gentry, Slidell, LA, Peter (Martha) Gentry, Nashville; daughter, Margaret Gentry, Clinton, NY; grandchildren, Colin Gentry Quinn, Casey Quinn, Sarah Gentry and Mary Hannah Gentry. Memorials may be made to Madison Street United Methodist Church, 319 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37040 or APSU Office of University Advancement P.O. Box 4417 Clarksville, TN 37044.
