Gladys Geneva Stokes Lange, affectionately known as “Gee Gee”, age 84 of Clarksville passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021.
Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, December 19, 2021 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Brown, Rev. James Sanders, and Rev. Cal Hampton officiating. Burial will follow at Stokes Chapel in Elkton, KY.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Sunday from 12 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Gladys entered this life on June 11, 1937 in Pembroke, KY. She grew up one of thirteen children, and never strayed from hard work. Her heart was full of care and compassion, especially for the elderly community. She retired as the senior director for AJAX Turner Center and was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church. Gee loved her church and church family. In her retirement, she enjoyed cooking, traveling, and caring for others.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William J. Lange, Sr. and stepson, Joey Lange.
Survivors include her stepson, William “Billy” Lange Jr. and his wife, Mary; bonus children, Cory Lange, and Marie Lange; sisters, Rose “Jo” Hart, Annie “Nello” Rose, and Ocie Clark; grandchildren, Kendra (Andy) Burkett, McKenzie Lange, and Hadley Lange, and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Tierney, Lee Tierney, Ricky Stokes, Andy Burkett, Wheeler Cato, and Billy Lange. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Stokes, Robert Meacham, and Greg Clark.
