Gilbert Parker

Gilbert Franklin Parker, age 81 of Clarksville, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021.
Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Indian Mound.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Gilbert entered this life on October 10, 1940 in Stewart County, TN to the late JB and Kattie Milliken Parker. He was raised on the farm and spent his years as a tobacco farmer. Gilbert has been sharecropping on the Williams farm since 1950, alongside his parents and siblings. Although he never had any children of his own, Gilbert loved his nieces and nephews as his own. He knew Jesus and loved people. Gilbert was always able to see the good in people, and had such a kind heart.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Parker and Naron (Faye) Parker.
Gilbert leaves behind his brothers, Jerry Parker and his wife J’uanita , Kelly Parker and his wife, Parker Ann Holt Parker; sister-in-law, Norma Jean Parker, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Deffendoll, Payton Deffendoll, Scott Coggins, Ralph Milliken, John Milliken, and Kelly Parker. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Deffendoll and Jerry Parker.
