Gilbert Conyers

Mr. Gilbert Dixon Conyers was born March 10, 1940 in Houston County, TN, to the late Mr. Naldie “Buster” Conyers and Mrs. Clatie Ann McLay. He departed this life on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 p.m. at the Little Rock Baptist Church in Erin, TN. Burial will follow at Erin Community Cemetery.
He attended W.H Hensley School in Houston County. He worked for the city of Waverly, TN. He retired from Holland Construction after 41 years.
He was a united in holy matrimony to the late Theresa Lynn Burns Conyers. Three brothers and two sisters, Buster JR., James Lee, Benjamin Louise, and Pasty Mae preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a wife, Sarah, three children, Willie (Shanay) of Wisconsin, Gilbert JR, and Theresa Conyers of Waverly, TN; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three stepchildren, five step grandchildren, and two step great-grandchildren; a Devoted sister, Jessie Bell Keesee of Erin, TN; special friends, Lawrence Hall of Nashville, Steve turner, and Benji “Pumpkin” Askew; a devoted nephew, David Conyers of Erin, TN; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and a host of family and friends.
