Gertrude “Gertie” Parker, age 94 of Erin, TN, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019 at Signature Healthcare of Erin.
A celebration of her life will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2019 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Neal officiating. Burial will follow in McDonald Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at Nave Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., and from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Friday afternoon.
Gertie entered this life on November 15, 1924 in Erin, TN, daughter to the late Roy and Laura Belle Potts. Gertie was a lifelong resident of Erin and attended Peach Grove Church.
In addition to her parents, Gertie was preceded in death by her husbands, Clayton Rogers, and Owen Parker and daughter Janet.
Survivors include her loving daughters, Judy Mitchell (Wayne), Rita Rogers, and sisters, Nelda Farnsworth, and Cora Sue Mcmillan. Gertie also leaves behind seven grandchildren Irenda, Timothy, Dwayne, Ryan, Scott, Ray, Nate and Todd, and nine great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dwayne, Timothy, Matthew, Michael, Scott, Ray,Todd, and Jr.
