Gerard Alphonse “Frenchy” Boileau, age 86, departed this world to join his sweetheart Tacy in the timeless bliss of life, on Wednesday, March 21, 2018.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2018 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with full military honors. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 6, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.
Gerard entered into this life on December 9, 1931 to parents Wilfrid and Eva Marie Boileau, in Hemmingford, Qubec. “Frenchy” traveled the world with the Army and Air Force while raising his family with the love of his life Tacy Lou. He was a multi-lingual Korean and Vietnam War Veteran, specializing in jet engine mechanics and military intelligence. After 22 years and 22 days, he retired from the Air Force and went on to be an instructor of jet engine mechanics with companies such as Lockheed, Northrup and Gibbons. He spent his retirement years caring for his wife, Tacy and traveling to visit family and friends in the U.S. and Canada. He was a great friend, provider and protector, and a loving father. He was loved by many. His presence on this earth will be greatly missed and his life will continue to be celebrated by all the lives he touched.
In addition to his parents, Gerard was preceded in death by his wife, Tacy Lou McGregor Boileau; sons, Samuel Boileau, and Anthony Boileau; daughter, Rose Marie Boileau. Survivors include his sons, Michael Boileau, Tony Boileau, and Joseph Boileau; daughters, Tacy Lou Covington, and Heather Boileau; brother, Raymond Boileau; sisters, Jacqueline LaRoche, Lucienne Gallant, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
