Geraldine Burwell

Geraldine June Burwell, age 82 of Palmyra, passed away July 18, 2012.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Norberg Funeral Home, Princeton, IL. Burial will follow in Elm Lawn, Princeton, IL.
Geraldine was born July 31, 1929 on a farm near Hoxie, KS, daughter of John and Almyra Jeanette Johnson Frye. She and her husband owned and operated Burwell Real Estate in Princeton for over 25 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Princeton, IL, and former member of Business and Professional Women. Geraldine enjoyed playing piano, entertaining, and oil painting.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, LaVern Burwell.
Survivors include her children, Rodney Alan Burwell of Princeton, IL, Kelly Jean Burwell-Harris and her husband Larry of Palmyra, TN, and Betty Burwell of Princeton; siblings, Howard Calvin Frye of Phoenix, AZ, Nola Schott of Hutchinson, KS and Ester Twila Beck of Witchita, KS; grandchildren, Cassidy Rae Balenseifen, Amanda Shae Marquis, Jennifer Rachel Hays, James Burwell Hays, Amelia Renee Harris and Colan Perry Harris; and 5 great- grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Burwell, Colan Harris, Larry Harris, Brendon Marquis, Dave Biddix and James Hays.
